International Exposure
PREAMBLE
For 2007/2008 our primary focus will be towards the establishment of a High Performance Infrastructure (HPI) that will enable LTAM to systematically produce world class tennis players every year.
The third stage of the so-called High Performance Infrastructure saw the need to regularly organize participation in international tournaments or overseas tennis Academy programs to expose the skills of selected “ Elite” players with a view to obtain the required ranking points to qualify for our national Back-Up Squad or Pelapis.
The selected “Elite” players are those selected players in each Elite Camp through and In-House Round Robin Competition. They will be sponsored and/or endorsed to participate in the any international ITF, ATP and WTA tournaments approved by LTAM.
To qualify for the National Back Up Squad or Pelapis all “Elite” players must obtain and maintain ITF Junior ranking points of below 200 at any particular time.
To qualify for the National Squad all “Elite” players must obtain ITF, ATP or WTA senior ranking points.
There will be special privileges, monetary and in-kind, for all Back-Up and National Squad players approved by LTAM from time to time.
