BMW Malaysian National Circuit Leg 4 2012

The first sponsored BMW Malaysian National circuit ended in a grand note, with a new champion in Syed Agil Syed Naguib who lost in the quarter final in leg 3, became the first winner of this rejuvenated tournament by beating Pruchya Isaro of Thailand, 76 (3) Pruchya retired in the second set . In the semi finals, Syed Mohd Agil defeated the number one seed, Ariez Elyaas Deen Heshaam, 63, 75. Pruchya downed Si Yew Ming, 64, 62.  In the Ladies singles, the number one seed, 17 year old Polina Merenkova of Uzbekistan, found the going tough succumbed to Theiviya Selvarajoo, 64, 64.Before heading to the final, Polina beat Archanaah Rajan in a three set tussle, 61, 36, 63.

 

Meanwhile, in the doubles, Abdul Hazli Zainuddin who partnered Ahmad Deedat Razak brushed aside Khoo Er Yang and Pruchya Isarow, 62, 63. In the Ladies Doubles, Ti Jia Wei and Theviya Selvarajoo beat Jawairiah Noordin and Yus Syazlin Nabila Yusri, 26, 63 (11-9).

Overall, it was an exciting event for the players who played in a conducive atmosphere with a great feeling and the desire to win. A new winner in Men’s Singles and also in the Ladies Singles.

Prizes were given away by YBhg Dato’ Ahmad Jaafar, Vice President LTAM and Mr. Frank Schaffer, Director of Finance and Administration BMW Group.
