The SCOMI KL Open Tennis Championships 2012

Christopher Benjamin Rungkat, age 22 years, from Indonesia, add colour and spice to The Scomi Kuala Lumpur Tennis Championships which begins tomorrow at the National Tennis Centre Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur and Titiwangsa courts. Play begins at 0900Hrs. Admission is free.

Rungkat, with an illustrious junior tennis career, won the final stage of the French Open in 2008 Boy’s Doubles with Henri Kontinen of Finland. He is the youngest ever Indonesian, to be the All Indonesian Champion. In 2010, he won the Tarakan Open International Men’s Futures tournament, his first, since going professional.

Also competing, Pruchya Assaro, ranked 6 in Thailand and players from Mongolia, Germany, Netherland, Singapore and Iran.

This is a ranked tournament with a 128 singles draw.
