Terengganu Lawn Tennis Association added a new program to its overall development program by organizing a two-day Play & Stay Coaches Course and  Children Tennis Clinic  last weekend in Marang. The two day course was held on 6, 7 July 2012.

The event attracted 20 Coaching Course candidates and 43 children. LTAM was represented by Mr. Taisto Sinkonnen.

The Coaching Course participants run the children tennis clinic as part of their practical training.

After this introductory clinic, Terengganu LTA will organise a regular program in Marang.

Terengganu LTA Vice President Hashim Ibrahim said that the aim of  the Program is to encourage children and young players to participate in the sport, and to promote tennis in general.

The main elements of the program are to provide children and young players the necessary skills to play tennis, to stay in tennis and for those who dream of playing at international level, the program gives an opportunity to turn those dreams into reality.

To achieve these goals the program has a variety of exciting and different ways of providing youngsters the chance to play, be coached, learn about the game and generally have fun in tennis.

Terengganu LTA has plans to include other districts to create a big pool of tennis players for Terengganu in the future.
