OBJECTIVE

The revamped CIRCUIT will serve as a platform or basis to achieve the following objectives:

1. To select “elite” junior players of the various Age Groups to attend LTAM monthly centralized training sessions better known as ELITE CAMP. It will be based on ranking points and top ranked players in each month will be invited to join the monthly ELITE CAMP to further hone their skills through a proven high performance training programs. They will also participate in in-house competitions to determine their ranking position in each ELITE CAMP to overcome any loop holes in our ranking system as it may not represent the correct positions of these elite players e.g. easy path in the CIRCUIT.

2. To select top ranked elite junior players from each ELITE CAMP to be endorsed by LTAM to represent Malaysia in local, regional and international tournaments and/or to be sent to training academies abroad. All elite junior players are eligible for endorsement by LTAM to participate in all ITF and ATF international tournaments and it is our intention to support their expenses but subject to availability of funds and sponsorships.

3. To enable LTAM to have access to a larger pool of junior players by ensuring the structure and format of the tournament are decentralized and held on weekends only throughout Malaysia.

4. To make it more affordable by ensuring junior players do not have to miss schools a lot, parents do not have to take leave to accompany their children and larger pool of part-time officials and coaches because they don’t have to take leave also and most importantly, minimal time and costs to them.
